Management Reflective Paper Introduction The oxford dictionaries define collaboration as the action of working with someone to produce something. Ghodsi Laal (2012) stated that Collaboration is a philosophy of interaction and personal lifestyle where individuals are responsible for their actions, including learning and respect the abilities and contributions of their peers. When people come together to work on a certain project, they are creating a group that will collaborate to achieve their task. Different levels of collaboration can happen between individual, groups, departments, institution, sector, nation, and even businesses who are focused on achieving a task (Katz Martin, 1997). In colleges, collaborative learning is used as a tool to make students share ideas, learn from each other and understand how to work in groups which they will need in real life experience. This paper is focused on my reflection as a member of the Yellow Team campus collaboration activity for management for information professionals. Feelings In week one, we were asked by the tutor to pick an item from a brown paper bag, at first I thought it was candy, but later, I found out it was the name of a colour. At the time I picked the colour, I didnt exactly know what I am supposed to do with it, though I guessed it will have something to do with group related activity but I waited for further information from the tutor. During the lecture, the tutor Jane Burns explained what each of the colours we picked stands for which confirmed my earlier guess that it will be used to place each student in the class in groups and information relating to the on-campus collaboration activity was put up on Blackboard. The collaboration activity from information on Blackboard will be group participation on the 9th of February in a collaboration challenge which requires that all members of the group will have to participate and there will be challenges in place that each group will try to achieve and points will be given for each challenge met. The tutor did not actually state what the challenge will be which left us all wondering and asking the big question, what will this challenge be? and how are we going to accomplish this task? Since most of us dont know each other and to enable us to identify each other, the tutor sent an email on the 28th January with the email contact of all groups to each participant, this helped us communicate easily among ourselves to plan on how to get ready for the task. My group scheduled to meet on Monday 30th January at Library study room to brainstorm on how we will execute the task. During the meeting, the main question that each of us continued to ask is what will the challenge be?  Ãƒâ€šÃ‚   but we all know that this question will remain unanswered until the day of the challenge. We drew up a couple of plans and accessed what we might need for the exercise. As part of our plan, we decided to get a whistle to use to signal each other in case we have to a split during our search to accomplish the task in time. We also got torch light, in an event it gets dark before the challenge is concluded. Analysis The campus collaboration activity took place on the 9th of February in Week three. We all arrived in class at OBrien Science centre and different colours of bandana was given to the team captain of different groups to help identify each student and the group they belong to alongside an envelope which contains the group task which will not be opened until we get to field and have received our task box from the volunteers. My group the Yellow team got our Yellow bandana and we all tied it where we feel it fits best. The tutor gave instructions and code of conduct regarding how we all are expected to conduct ourselves throughout the duration of the task. The most important part of the instruction was that under no condition should any participant go into the lake and any group that breaks this rule stands to lose the entire 15 marks. My group led by Dave our group captain headed out for the task which is supposed to take off from the OReily end of UCD (i.e. near the Egg) and we received our task box from the volunteers when we got to the task point. Our group captain opened the brown envelope containing our task and the mission stated therein was for us to get all the( ..?)ducks in the task box safely from the OReilly building side of the lake to the James Joyce library side of the lake. At first, the task seems very confusing and we were trying different approaches amongst ourselves to see if we can complete this task in time. Some of us had to throw some floating balls we found in our task box to understand what is the direction of the wind at that time and if the direction favours us by taking the floating balls to the library side, then we might be able to place the ducks in the water to float to the library side. That theory didnt seem so work as the floating balls never made it to the middle of the lake. With quick thinking among ourselves, we came up with another idea which was to place the ducks in a plastic bowl like objects we found in the task box and u se cello tape to tape the ducks tightly into the bowl. We used tiny ropes and pegs found in the task box to construct a long rope and taped the rope to bowls that we placed the ducks in. We then placed the bowl in the lake with the ducks securely taped inside it, we dragged the bowl from the OReilly end of the lake to the library end of the lake. Conclusion After the exercise, I understood how valuable this task is and I learnt a lot from the exercise. I learnt from the task that team approach to solving problems and quick thinking skills can help solve problems during a task. Collaboration activity can also help build self-esteem in certain students who find it very difficult to mix with their peers and also it creates a very good atmosphere for cooperation among students. Hazrat Muhammad (saw) today’s Prophet Essay

When we talk about the historical personalities, Hazrat Mohammad PBUH is the greatest person among all. Prophet Mohammad PBUH is the last and perfect Prophet of Allah. I am pleased to share Prophet Mohammad PBUH actions towards each and every matter. Prophet Mohammad PBUH was the greatest scholar. His teachings are regarded the most valuable and acceptable knowledge. Not only Muslims but also non-Muslims are greatly inspired with his character and commend his nobility. Prophet Mohammad PBUH taught human being that how to be gentle and kind with other people and even with the animals. he life of the Holy Prophet, peace be on him, was a life of grand success. In his high moral qualities, his spiritual power, his high resolve, the excellence and perfection of his teaching, his perfect example and the acceptance of his prayers, in short, in every aspect of his life, he exhibited such bright signs that even a person of low intelligence, provided he is not inspired by unreasonable rancour and enmity, is forced to confess that he was a perfect example of the manifestation of Divine qualities and was a perfect man. . Prophet Mohammad PBUH was a great model for all the humanity. This article contains some actions towards every matter done by our beloved Prophet Hazrat Mohammad PBUH. Mercy to all mankind: Allah Subhanoho wa-T’ala Says to Prophet Muhammad (s.a.a.w.) in The Holy Quran: â€Å"And We have not sent you except as a mercy to mankind.† Hadrat Abu Huraira said: the Prophet was asked to curse the infidels. He said, â€Å"I have not been sent to curse people but as a mercy to all mankind.† (Muslim) Mother of faithful believers Hadrat Aisha (said that she once asked the Holy Prophet :’Did you face a day severer than the day of the battle of Uhud? ‘He answered: ‘Yes I have experienced such things at the hands of your people and such a day was the day of Aqabah. On this day I presented me. In this cloud I saw Angel Jibril (peace be upon him) who called me and said: Allah, the Most High, has heard what your people have said to you and the response to your offer. Allah has now sent the Angel of the Mountains to you to carry out your orders to do what you might like to be done to them. Then the Angel of the Mountains addressed me greeting with Salam and then said: ‘Muhammad! Allah (The Glorified and the Exalted) has heard what your people have said to you. I am the Angel of the Mountains and my Lord has sent me to you to carry out your orders. What do you want now to be done? If you like I may crush them between the two mountains encircling the city of Makka. The Holy Prophet replied: (I do not want their destruction) I am still hopeful that Allah will make some of their children (good Muslims) who would worship Allah, the One, without associating anybody with Him. His manners and disposition: â€Å"By the grace of Allah, you are gentle towards the people; if you had been stern and ill-tempered, they would have dispersed from round about you† (translation of Qur’an 3:159) About himself the prophet (pbuh) said:†Allah has sent me as an apostle so that I may demonstrate perfection of character, refinement of manners and loftiness of deportment.† By nature he was gentle and kind hearted, always inclined to be gracious and to overlook the faults of others. Politeness and courtesy, compassion and tenderness, simplicity and humility, sympathy and sincerity were some of the keynotes of his character. In the cause of right and justice he could be resolute and severe but more often than not, his severity was tempered with generosity. He had charming manners which won him the affection of his followers and secured their devotion. Though virtual king of Arabia and an apostle of Allah, he never assumed an air of superiority. Not that he had to conceal any such vein by practice and artifice: with fear of Allah, sincere humility was ingrained in his heart. He used to say, â€Å"I am a Prophet of Allah but I do not know what will be my end.† In one of his sermons calculated to instill the fear of Allah and the day of reckoning in the hearts of men, he said, â€Å"O people of Quraish be prepared for the hereafter, I cannot save you from the punishment of Allah; O Bani Abd Manaf, I cannot save you from Allah; O Abbas, son of Abdul Mutalib, I cannot protect you either; O Fatima, daughter of Muhammad, even you I cannot save.† He used to pray,:†O Allah! I am but a man. If I hurt any one in any manner, then forgive me and do not punish me.† He always received people with courtesy and showed respect to older people and stated: â€Å"To honor an old man is to show respect to Allah.† He would not deny courtesy even to wicked persons. It is stated that a person came to his house and asked permission for admission. The prophet (pbuh) remarked that he was not a good person but might be admitted. When he came in and while he remained in the house, he was shown full courtesy. When he left Aiysha (ra) said, â€Å"You did not think well of this man, but you treated him so well.† The prophet (pbuh) replied, â€Å"He is a bad person in the sight of Allah who does not behave courteously and people shun his company bacause of his bad manners.† He was always the first to greet another and would not withdraw his hand from a handshake till the other man withdrew his. If one wanted to say something in his ears, he would not turn away till one had finished . He did not like people to get up for him and used to say,†Let him who likes people to stand up in his honour, he should seek a place in hell.† He would himself, however, stand up when any dignitary came to him. He had stood up to receive the wet nurse who had reared him in infancy and had spread his own sheet for her. His foster brother was given similar treatment. He avoided sitting at a prominent place in a gathering, so much so that people coming in had difficulty in spotting him and had to ask which was the Prophet (pbuh). Quite frequently uncouth Bedouins accosted him in their own gruff and impolite manner but he never took offence. He used to visit the poorest of ailing persons and exhorted all muslims to do likewise â€Å". He would sit with he humblest of persons saying that righteousness alone was the criterion of one’s superiority over another. He invariably invited people be they slaves, servants or the poorest believers, to partake with him of his scanty meals . Whenever he visited a person he would first greet him and then take his permission to enter the house. He advised the people to follow this etiquette and not to get annoyed if anyone declined to give permission, for it was quite likely the person concerned was busy otherwise and did not mean any disrespect (Ibid). There was no type of household work too low or too undignified for him. Aiysha (ra) has stated, â€Å"He always joined in household work and would at times mend his clothes, repair his shoes and sweep the floor. He would milk, tether, and feed his animals and do the household shopping.† He would not hesitate to do the menial work of others, particularly of orphans and widows. Once when there was no male member in the house of the companion Kabab Bin Arat who had gone to the battlefield, he used to go to his house daily and milk his cattle for the inhabitants Justice: The Prophet (pbuh) asked people to be just and kind. As the supreme judge and arbiter, as the leader of men, as generalissimo of a rising power, as a reformer and apostle, he had always to deal with men and their affairs. He had often to deal with mutually inimical and warring tribes when showing justice to one carried the danger of antagonizing the other, and yet he never deviated from the path of justice. In administering justice, he made no distinction between believers and nonbelievers, friends and foes, high and low. From numerous instances reported in the traditions, a few are given below. Sakhar, a chief of a tribe, had helped Muhammad (pbuh) greatly in the seige of Taif, for which he was naturally obliged to him. Soon after, two charges were brought against Sakhar: one by Mughira of illegal confinement of his (Mughira’s) aunt and the other by Banu Salim of forcible occupation of his spring by Sakhar. In both cases, he decided against Sakhar and made him undo the wrong. (Abu Dawud, Sunan Dawud, pg.80) Abdullah Bin Sahal, a companion, was deputed to collect rent from Jews of Khaibar. His cousin Mahisa accompanied him but, on reaching Khaibar, they had separated. Abdullah was waylaid and done to death. Mahisa reported this tragedy to the Prophet (pbuh) but as there were no eye-witnesses to identify the guilty, he did not say anything to the Jews and paid the blood-money out of the state revenues. A woman of the Makhzoom family with good connections was found guilty of theft. For the prestige of the Quraish, some prominent people including Asama Bin Zaid interceded to save her from punishment. The Prophet (pbuh) refused to condone the crime and expressed displeasure saying, â€Å"Many a community ruined itself in the past as they only punished the poor and ignored the offences of the exalted. By Allah, if Muhammad’s (My) daughter Fatima would have committed theft, her hand would have been severed.† (Bukhari, Sahh Bukhari, Chapter â€Å"Alhadood†) The Jews, in spite of their hostility to the Prophet (pbuh), were so impressed by his impartiallity and sense of justice that they used to bring their cases to him, and he decided them according to Jewish law. (Abu Dawud, Sunan Dawud) Once, while he was distributing the spoils of war, people flocked around him and one man almost fell upon him. He pushed the men with a stick causing a slight abrasion. He was so sorry about this that he told the man that he could have his revenge, but the man said, â€Å"O messenger of Allah, I forgive you.† (Abu Dawud, Kitablu Diyat). In his fatal illness, the Prophet (pbuh) proclaimed in a concourse assembled at his house that if he owed anything to anyone the person concerned could claim it; if he had ever hurt anyone’s person, honor or property, he could have his price while he was yet in this world. A hush fell on the crowd. One man came forward to claim a few dirhams which were paid at once. (Ibn Hisham, Sirat-ur-Rasul) Equality: Muhammad (pbuh) asked people to shun notions of racial, family or any other form of superiority based on mundane things and said that righteousness alone was the criterion of one’s superiority over another. It has already been shown how he mixed with everyone on equal terms, how he ate with slaves, servants and the poorest on the same sheet (a practice that is still followed in Arabia), how he refused all privileges and worked like any ordinary laborer. Two instances may, however, be quoted here: Once the Prophet (pbuh) visited Saad Bin Abadah. While returning Saad sent his son Quais with him. The Prophet (pbuh) asked Quais to mount his camel with him. Quais hesitated out of respect but the Prophet (pbuh) insisted: â€Å"Either mount the camel or go back.† Quais decided to go back. (Abu Dawud, Kitabul Adab) On another occasion he was traveling on his camel over hilly terrain with a disciple, Uqba Bin Aamir. After going some distance, he asked Uqba to ride the camel, but Uqba thought this would be showing disrespect to the Prophet (pbuh). But the Prophet (pbuh) insisted and he had to comply. The Prophet (pbuh) himself walked on foot as he did not want to put too much load on the animal. (Nasai pg. 803) The prisioners of war of Badr included Abbas, the uncle of the Prophet (pbuh). Some people were prepared to forgo their shares and remit the Prophet’s (pbuh) ransom but he declined saying that he could make no distinctions. (Bukhari, Sahih Bukhari, Chapter â€Å"Ransoms†) During a halt on a journey, the companions apportioned work among themselves for preparing food. The Prophet (pbuh) took upon himself the task of collecting firewood. His companions pleaded that they would do it and that he need not take the trouble, but he replied, â€Å"It is true, but I do not like to attribute any distinction to myself. Allah does not like the man who considers himself superior to his companions

The form at used by the teacher was flexible as observing for a student, individually or in small groups, and to locate that supports both sets of answers. Archaeologists believe that early humans actually used diamonds as spear heads and other tools. However, over time diamonds have become a luxury good, connected with much prestige. The high status of diamonds helped create the diamond rush that would forever alter the fate of South Africa. The discovery of the Eureka diamond in 1866 began the steady trickle of Europeans searching for wealth, but the Star of Africa, a massive diamond of 83.5 carats, opened the flood gates. The diamond was found by an African Shepard on the Orange River. The invaluable stone was bought from the Shepard by Schalk van Niekerk for 500 sheep, ten head of cattle, and one horse (debeers.com). Reasons for the Worlds Food Surpluses and Shortages In the world today, the three richest people in the world have more money than the 600,000 poorest. It is clear that the main reason for there being food surpluses in some countries and shortages in others, is the widening gap between the rich and the poor. In many LEDCs, such as Ethiopia and Mali in Africa and India in Asia, people are suffering from malnutrition and famine. Whereas in MEDCs, especially in North America and Europe, people are suffering from obesity and food surpluses. On a larger scale, some argue that the main reason for food shortages and malnutrition in some regions, is the climate. Almost all LEDCs have a tropical monsoon climate. Much of the famine and disease is caused by the unpredictable droughts, which may last months meaning crops are unable to grow and the soil becomes dry and impermeable, followed by severe monsoon rains , which can cause terrible flooding and destroy large areas of land. As few crops can be grown, the necessary food for healthy living cannot be supplied, leading to malnutrition. Whereas in MEDCs such as the UK and Canada, the temperate climate allows stable and reliable growth of staple crops such as wheat and barley and natural disasters such as flooding rarely affect food prod uction. Problems of overpopulation in many LEDCs only enhances the problem of food shortages. Then he placed a final strap across her sternum, just above her breasts. It had all taken only moments, and Katherine was again immobilized. Her wrists and ankles throbbed now as the circulation returned to her limbs. â€Å"Open your mouth,† the man whispered, licking his own tattooed lips. Katherine clenched her teeth in revulsion. The man again reached out with his index finger and ran it slowly around her lips, making her skin crawl. She clenched her teeth tighter. The tattooed man chuckled and, using his other hand, found a pressure point on her neck and squeezed. Katherine’s jaw instantly dropped open. She could feel his finger entering her mouth and running along her tongue. She gagged and tried to bite it, but the finger was already gone. Still grinning, he raised his moist fingertip before her eyes. Then he closed his eyes and, once again, rubbed her saliva into the bare circle of flesh on his head. The man sighed and slowly opened his eyes. Then, with an eerie calm, he turned and left the room. In the sudden silence, Katherine could feel her heart pounding. Directly over her, an unusual series of lights seemed to be modulating from purple red to a deep crimson, illuminating the room’s low ceiling. When she saw the ceiling, all she could do was stare. Every inch was covered with drawings. The mind-boggling collage above her appeared to depict the celestial sky. Stars, planets, and constellations mingled with astrological symbols, charts, and formulas. There were arrows predicting elliptical orbits, geometric symbols indicating angles of ascension, and zodiacal creatures peering down at her. Therefore, to fulfill this gap this research has been done. Project objective The main objective of this research is to find out the reason behind the increase in house rent in Sydney. It further identifies the factors and their impacts behind the increased house rents in Sydney. Project scope In Sydney there is a huge scope for this research topic as it is the greatest concern now that the price of the rented houses are increasing day by day. However, it is not possible for everyone to buy their own houses and thus, there are a number of people who are preferring to stay in rented flats, houses or apartments. Literature review According to Gitelman and otto2012, the supply of inelastic is less than the unity for all kind of housing though they found out that supply elasticity is comparatively larger for apartments and flats than the separate and semi-detached houses, terraces or townhouses. In another research by Justiniano, Primiceri and Tambalotti 2015, that was done on household leveraging and deleveraging, result suggests that the factors that have a direct impact on the house rents affects the variability of credit by a modification in collateral values. However, it further states that the household debt impend alone can never account for the leisurely recovery from the recession. Research method outline For this particular research, the researcher has chosen positivism as the philosophy of the research. Researcher has taken help using various tools just to find the appropriate forms of findings. Following that, the research approach that has been taken is the deductive method and the reason behind selecting this particular approach is that it guided the researcher with the already existing models and theories related to the topic. Lastly, for the research design the descriptive or analytical design method has been usedalong with the research strategy of survey and interview methods (Petty, Thomson, and Stew 2012). Research Philosophy Research philosophy is actually the set of beliefs regarding the way the data about the study shall be collected, evaluated and used. Three types of research philosophies are there and they are positivism, realism and interpretivism (Wahyuni 2012). It helps the researcher to proceed with a thorough study of the different theories and models. However, the researcher has chosen positivism as the philosophy and it aims to help the researcher to evaluate the current market situation that will provide which a broader outlook to the procedure of the research. It will further investigate the topic in a rational as well as a critical way. The other two types of research philosophies are avoided mainly because they are based on human perspective and result of the study. Research Approach Deductive and inductive research approaches are there. Deductive approach deals with the theories and models that are already prevailing whereas the inductive approach relies on the theories and models that are new (Bryman 2015). Deductive approach has been chosen, as that is easier for the researcher to proceed with the already existing models and theories because it is difficult for him to develop fresh theories and models for this study. Research Design Researchers mainly follow three types of research designs those are analytical or descriptive, exploratory and the explanatory research designs (Gray 2013). The chosen research design for this particular study is analytical descriptive design. This particular design provides the researcher to undergo the different approaches in a much detailed and descriptive style. Analytical and descriptive mode of research design always helps the researcher to research on the topic with detail information on the topic. It further helps to go through different approaches in a much detailed and descriptive form. It also defines the topic in a critical manner and this is the reason why the researcher chose this design. Research strategy Research strategy helps the researcher to direct the study in the correct direction. However, there can be many research strategies but among them the most commonly used are case studies, focus group, survey methods and interview procedure. Thus, when the research demands data from the large samples then the best research strategies are survey method and interview method. Therefore, as this study needs to know the view of the common people who are associated with rented houses thus the best suitable strategies are survey and interview methods (Flick 2014). Selection of Sampling Methods and Sample size For doing the sampling method, the researcher has used both probability and non-probability techniques. Random sampling technique has also been used so that the researcher can gain a better understanding of this topic. For this purpose, 50 samples have been conducted among the people who are residing in a rented house and 5 samples are interviewed by theresearcher who is giving their flats or houses on rent. The sample has been selected from the population residing in Sydney (Robinson 2014). Data collection method Here the primary data is the information that is obtained by the researcher through the different methods of surveys and interviews. However, the information that is gained is very genuine and thus gives a better outlook to the study. On the other hand, the secondary data are those information that are previously available in printed or other forms that is the surveys or researches that are already done related to this situation. For this particular study, both the above-mentioned data collection methods have been used (Schilling 2014). Chart and table format has been followed so that a clear understanding of the deduced figure can be obtained. However, to assess the quantitative data the numerical digits were converted to percentages and then they are further displayed in different charts, graphs and the tables. To calculate the mean, median, mode and standard deviation of the findings descriptive statistics have been used. Whereas, to access the qualitative data the speeches of the interviewee has been analyzed well for which thematic analysis has been done to analyze the interviews (Sgier 2012). Research ethical consideration This research has been performed in an unbiased way where ethical guidance was strict. The priority was to proceed with the research without harming the legal proceedings of doing a research. The points that were kept in mind while conducting the research are that the sample should not be forced to join the survey, they will have their independence to withdraw their participation at any moment they want (Ritchie et al. 2013). Research limitations There have been a number of limitations that came up while conducting this research though various approaches were made to avoid them. The perspective of the people residing in a rented house would have been clearer if more data could be collected from more samples. Time is another limitation in this research. More time could have gained better and wider results. The interviews from the owners of the flats or houses who are giving their property on rents can be bias to share their point of view (Crowe et al. 2013). Time schedule The work of this research has been divided into a time schedule. This time schedule is the framework of the research used for carrying out different activities of the research that involves the major parts of the project. For this particular research, a realistic estimation of time has been done that is essential to conduct this research (Bell 2014). Conclusion Thus,this research focuses on the reasons behind the increased house rents in Sydney. However, to search for the factors and their impacts 50 samples were selected from the population who are residing in rented houses. Survey has been conducted through a questionnaire on them along with interviewing five people who give their houses, flats or apartments on rents. The research methodology and design further describes the research has been strategies and the data has been collected. Moreover, few limitations that were faced while conducting this research, which were time, limited sampling and bias interviews of the people who are giving their housing properties on rent.
